Reading is all about strategies. Usually, the more strategies you have an know how to use, the better reader you will become. That is why today's free autism resource focuses on one of those strategies: finding the number of syllables in a word.
Star Wars Syllables!
We've used characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and made the resource so it does not require writing - students simply circle the number of syllables in the word. It may be helpful to teach students to make a "/" to break the words into syllables as well!
